An anniversary lazy susan

I was asked if I could make a lazy Susan for an anniversary gift (a lazy Susan is a rotating turntable to go on the dinner table so evergone can get to the dishes.) This was for cheese, and I can't think of a better use! ( My wife calls me Grommet because I like a bit of Wenslydale cheese)

Even though it would be my first, of course I was up for the challenge! And it gave me yet another opportunity to use my new laser to personalize it with '25 years " as requested.

The top is highly figured 'crotch' ash, the base locally sourced yew, with glorious colours.

It was very well received and the customer said 'you couldn't have done a better job - the recipients were delighted'.

I already have timber for a huge one, and would be delighted to personalize it for you, or leave it plain! What can I make or repair for you? Contact me here on the chat....

A tuneful comission

My strangest comission (so far - there are even more interesting ones in development!) has been for a custom handle for a piano tuning...
